DESCRIPTION
AWS Elemental is the world-leader in video processing products. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to gather insights that drive strategic programs which influence the direction of Elemental's product team. We are looking for a Business Analyst who is passionate about solving customers’ problems, has a strong background in data analysis, and proven ability to optimize operation. This Business Analyst has demonstrated success in analyzing historical financial and non-financial data and business metrics to inform regular forecasts (R&O, OP1, OP2).
Candidates will be comfortable working closely with and across agile teams. This is a high visibility, high impact role that will interact with all levels of AWS leadership. The right person is naturally customer centric and thrives in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment, video background, and solid communication and writing skills. Key job responsibilities
Partner with Product/Engineering teams to build financial models for new products/features.
Conduct rigorous analyses and develop business models for different programs within video.
Embed with product managers, engineering, and data analysts/scientists to drive high-priority projects across the business.
Work with Business Development and Sales to identify strategic customer opportunities to drive Elemental's top-line growth.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
