Through Business Banking Direct our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking Direct team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end -to- end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.
We are seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Business Banking Direct Relationship Manager.
In this role you will:
Focus on growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network.
Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business.
Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes by treating customers fairly. Relationship Management role holders will be required to acquire knowledge of a product area and in some geographies may need to hold specific certificates or need membership of a regulatory body.
Deepen understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews.
Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk, and ensure adherence to all applicable operational risk HSBC Standards and policies, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Have an understanding of financial services banking systems – including Browser Main Menu, Document Viewer, Excel, Word, Outlook.
Have an understanding of Business types and structures, and Product knowledge of non-complex and complex commercial products.
Understanding and experience in reading and interpreting of financial accounts and writing strong credit applications.
Understanding of Financial Crime Risk policies.
Understanding of financial credit risk appetite as it relates to the segment.
Please note: This role can be based in either the Bristol, Cardiff or Exeter office. As such, the successful applicant will be required to spend at least 3 days a week at this location. Hybrid working is available, but the role holder will need to live within a commutable distance of the office.
