Business Development Manager –

A Business Development Manager is responsible for helping organizations obtain better brand recognition and financial growth. They coordinate with company executives and sales & marketing professionals to review current market trends in order to propose new business ideas that can improve revenue margins.

This is a Work from Office Role and you are required to work in our Mumbai office (Saki Naka, Andheri)

We are looking for 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager with good communication skills and overall good experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Telephone Marketing
• Research to prepare a database of prospects
• Call on the database generated
• Generate interest in prospects through regular email and phone communication, and sending branding content to generate interest
• Understand the need of the client and book for a preliminary chat or paid consultation with the advisor
• Interface between the client & the advisor till the meeting happens and ensure that the client is receiving timely update from our end

Email/SMS Marketing:
• Maintain and update customer database on regular basis.
• Manage various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in our email sends.

Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
• Mining data to prepare a list of referral partners
• Cleaning the database and ensuring all contact details are updated
• Generate interest in prospects through regular email and phone communication, and sending branding content to organize meetings for presentations with the objective to generate inquiries
• Prepare proposals to engage referral partners with the organization

Networking
• Identify networking events to participate in
• Participate in trade-specific fairs
• Identify PR Opportunities that the directors can participate in
• Networking at all events to generate leads at the events that we are in participating in
• Undertaking all activities to convert leads to inquiries – data preparation, cold calling, email follow-ups
• Assess the ROI of all events that we participate in

Promotional Campaigns
• Organize company promotional events – The facility selection, contracting, pricing, transportation, accommodations, food and beverage selections, and audio/visual service arrangements.
• Give feedback received from clients and the marketplace about products and services to Management/Marketing team thereby resulting in product development
• Keep updated about competitor products and services and share information about the same to the Management team thereby resulting in product development/sales strategy development

Customer Relationship Management
• Build Good Relationships with potential & existing clients through regular follow-up with the clients
• Achieve excellent customer service by handling clients over the phone, through Emails and face-to-face counseling.
• Ensuring that all clients who connect to us are informed to follow us on social media

Business Expansion
• Conduct Market Research to identify areas of business expansion
• Develop new product categories
• Develop offices or ways of reaching out to new geographies
• Device and execute Financial, HR, Marketing, IT & Operations plans to set up the business in the areas identified
• Team Management
• Identify the team members required to execute the Business Development Plan of the company
• Participate in selection interviews to select the right candidates for the team
• Orient and train new joiners in the department.
• Monitor activities of the team to ensure all SOPs are implemented correctly and work is executed as per schedule
• Train and counsel team members to ensure they perform efficiently
• Evaluate team performance
• Sanction leaves/extra working of team members
• Maintain a positive environment in the team and ensure that all team members bond well as a team
• Motivate team members and encourage them to learn new things
• Act as the spokesperson of the team
• Coordinate with HR for any employee development initiatives
• Suggest newer initiatives to HR for team development
