Business Services Accountant
Southside Brisbane | Full-time | Boutique Public Practice Firm

Your Role in a Nutshell
This is a hands-on, client-facing role with room to take ownership and make a difference. You’ll:
Oversee a portfolio of small to medium businesses across tax compliance and advisory
Provide well-rounded tax advice on structures such as companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, and individuals
Review work of junior and intermediate accountants with a strong coaching mindset
Work independently and collaboratively to deliver complete outcomes—from planning to lodgement
Lead client engagements with confidence and clarity, building trust through consistent value
Assist with SMSF compliance and reporting via BGL360
Proactively identify process improvements and client opportunities
What You Bring to the Table
5+ years public practice experience with strong local tax and compliance expertise
Technical strength in tax, CGT, FBT, Division 7A, and SME advisory services
Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, BGL360, and Microsoft Office 365
Ability to manage workflow and priorities without constant supervision
High emotional intelligence and great people skills—both with clients and colleagues
Strong written and verbal communication, with a knack for breaking down complex ideas
Passion for supporting team growth and contributing to firm-wide goals
