About This Role
The role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager ANZ clinics, you will be responsible for the finance function of I-MED's Queensland business unit and I-MED overall to ensure compliance, enhance decision making, achieve business goals and targets, and promote the delivery of excellence in diagnostic imaging and healthcare services to patients, referrers, customers and the community.
The role will support I-MED's finance function with ongoing and month-end finance processes, including preparing accurate reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely information is available when required to meet stakeholder needs.
You are a highly collaborative, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and help us drive process improvements. You are commercially minded with strong attention to detail and will be able to apply whole business thinking and be adaptable in the way you work.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Business Unit Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet
Ensure accuracy and completeness of P&L and Balance Sheet with month-end entries.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and compliance checks.
Accurate monthly revenue capture and invoicing.
Participation in Business Unit Planning, Budgeting & Review Processes
Contribute to Business Unit strategy and business plan with financial analysis.
Support budget preparation and systematic performance reviews.
Monitor Business Unit performance down to the customer/client level.
Preparation of Business Unit Financial Reports and Analysis
Conduct monthly general ledger analysis and variance identification.
Deliver KPI and financial summaries to management.
Prepare month-end financial results and management reports.
Support for Business Unit Operational Team in Strategic Growth Projects
Assist with financial due diligence for acquisitions and new customer tenders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and system projects.
Ensure compliance with governance and management policies.
The ideal candidate:
Be able to develop and manage effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring quality communication, efficient execution of initiatives, and alignment with I-MED's core values.
Engage in professional development, share knowledge, support staff training, and participate in performance management to contribute to a high-performance culture and the growth of I-MED.
Tertiary degree qualification in accounting/commerce
Qualified or near qualified
1-2 years' experience in an accounting role
1-2 years' experience in use of finance/accounting systems
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
