C++ Data Generation Developer – 12 Month Contract
Remote – Eastern Time Zone
Occasional Bahamas travel (all expenses paid)
The Opportunity:
This is a rare chance to join a cutting-edge team working on high-frequency tick data and real-time analytics. Starting with a 12-month contract (with a strong view to permanent hire), you’ll be building and optimising complex systems that handle millions of rows of data in real time. Not only will you be solving highly technical challenges, but you’ll also enjoy remote flexibility with the opportunity to spend 1–2 weeks onsite in the Bahamas (all expenses covered) and occasional follow-up visits every few months.
What You’ll Do:
Design, develop, and optimise C++ applications for real-time, high-frequency data processing.
Work with large data sets to ensure speed, scalability, and efficiency.
Simulate environments using virtual networks, ensuring project standards and metrics are met.
Collaborate with global teams, with at least morning overlap in Eastern Time Zone.
Contribute to system releases and updates (occasional weekend work, quarterly).
What We’re Looking For:
5–7+ years of C++ development experience (Windows & desktop).
Strong knowledge of multithreading and resource management.
Proven experience with real-time or large-scale data projects.
Familiarity with SQL Server (essential).
Logical thinker, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Kafka or other messaging tools.
Knowledge of Python (Pandas) for analytics.
Exposure to high-frequency trading / financial data (beneficial, not essential).
Background in Computer Science, CFA, or FRM is highly desirable.
