Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic CA and Corporate Law Article Intern to join our finance and legal team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation laws, corporate legal matters, and company secretarial procedures. The selected candidate will assist both the finance and legal teams in conducting audits, legal research, drafting legal documents, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Assist in conducting audits of financial statements and internal controls
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or irregularities
- Assist in tax planning and compliance activities
- Conduct research on accounting and taxation issues
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support as required
Legal:
- Incorporate new companies and maintain their legal compliance
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memos on various corporate law issues
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and notices
- Assist in legal due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Assist in corporate legal disputes and litigation
- Provide legal advice to clients on corporate law matters
- Stay updated with changes in corporate laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to provide legal support as required
Qualifications:
1. Pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) and registered as an Article Assistant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
2. LLB/ B.COM LLB or pursuing LLB/LLM from a recognized university
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and corporate legal matters
4. Familiarity with auditing procedures, financial analysis, and company secretarial procedures
5. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines
8. Proficient in MS Office, accounting software, and other legal software
