Accounting & book-keeping
It is necessary for a CA student to start his experience with Accounting & book-keeping as it lays down the foundation of other aspects, including auditing, tax compliance, prepration of financial statements etc.
Income-tax & GST compliance
Undertaking and participating in compliances of Income-tax and GST helps a CA-student to understand the real-life impact of the tax laws and helps in development of professional aptitude of such student.
Auditing
Being a part of team undertaking Audit and Assurance functions helps a CA-student to get thorough insight into the role of an auditor and helps the student understand the regulatory and practical aspects surrounding various Audit functions, including statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit etc.
Finalization of Accounts and Preparation of Financial Statements
Participation in the finalization of accounts at the end of an accounting period and preparation of corresponding financial statements is a huge responsibility, which boosts the confidence of a CA-student. Understanding and application of relevant accounting standards and reporting as per the relevant accounting and reporting framework allows a CA-student to gain practical exposure into the integral function of Head of Accounts Department. The already-gained experience from accounting, tax compliance and auditing is necessary for thoroughly understanding the same.
Undertaking MCA Compliance
The participation of a CA-student in MCA compliance, such as uploading periodical returns with the ROC helps a CA-student understand the application of additional corporate compliances, which are only applicable to corporate entities.
Participation in Litigation matters
Involvement in litigation matters before the departmental or appellate authorities help a CA-student to better understand the real-life situation of statutory correspondence. It also helps in shaping the drafting and research skills of the student.
