Luxury Made to Measure Department Manager Job Description:
We are looking for a Luxury Made to Measure Department Manager to join our Store team. In this role you’ll be responsible for:
1. Sales Leadership & Business Growth
Drive the store’s tailored clothing and MTM sales performance, partnering with advisors to strengthen results through skill-building, coaching, and live selling support.
Lead by example through personal selling and client engagement, ensuring firsthand understanding of client expectations, product evolution, and team challenges.
Analyze sales trends, advisor skills, and missed opportunities to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
Monitor and impact results in MTM order accuracy, and client penetration of tailored sales.
Develop and implement programs to support underperformers in becoming achievers through focused training, partnership, and accountability.
Work closely with top performers to further expand their MTM and tailored business, leveraging them as role models and peer coaches to raise the overall bar of performance in the store.
Collaborate with Central Office, vendor partners, and store leadership to maximize event performance, trunk show results, and seasonal MTM initiatives.
Provide ongoing reporting and insights on performance, highlighting opportunities to improve productivity, client outcomes, and team execution.
2. Training, Coaching & Performance Development
Deliver structured training sessions, one-on-one coaching, and skills evaluations focused on tailored clothing and MTM selling excellence.
Build advisor confidence by reinforcing our Clothesmanship standards and the technical and service aspects of fitting, garment knowledge, and relationship-based selling.
Partner with Sales Leaders, CELs, and DSAs to ensure advisors are trained on brand-specific product knowledge and craftsmanship details.
Develop clear learning paths for both underperformers and high performers, ensuring growth at every level of the team.
Create a culture of continuous learning where every advisor develops competence, confidence, and pride in the art of tailoring.
Contribute to succession readiness by developing internal talent for future leadership roles in tailored selling.
Lead by example and consistently reinforce House of Harry's principles of Hospitality, Mastery, and Trust with all team members.
Ensure that all team members consistently and successfully demonstrate Connect, Curate and Commit behaviors.
Ensure the consistent application of the Coaching Excellence framework by leading, upholding, and modeling standards from Leadership Development Program principles, guidelines and resources.
3. Client Experience & Quality Control
Champion an exceptional client experience across all tailored clothing and MTM interactions.
Monitor, report on and use insights for coaching and maximizing opportunities: MTM Refusals, Re-Alterations and MTM Order Accuracy.
Partner with Tailor Shop leadership to ensure fittings, alterations, and delivery standards meet brand expectations and timelines.
Lead service recovery and client follow-up for MTM or alteration-related issues.
4. Operational & Visual Standards
Ensure the tailored clothing department and MTM areas consistently meet Harry Rosen’s standards for presentation, organization, and readiness.
Maintain backstock areas to reflect a luxury, client-ready environment.
Collaborate with Visual Presentation and vendor teams to ensure brand and category representation excellence.
Support store opening, closing, and operational leadership duties as part of the core leadership team.
5. Partner Collaboration
Build strong partnerships with vendor representatives, tailoring operations, and buying teams to align store execution with brand standards and business goals.
Contribute insights and recommendations to improve MTM process efficiency, product performance, and client satisfaction.
Serve as the in-store subject matter expert and liaison for all MTM updates, fitting protocols, and operational refinements.
Act as the voice of the store, sharing best practices, performance results, and opportunities with national teams.
Successful candidates will require:
A minimum of 3 years of retail experience with leadership capacity in managing a store/department, preferably a customer tailored clothing department or store
A focus on driving long-term customer loyalty and conversion by training team on elevating both the in-store and online customer experience)
Demonstrated interest and ability to develop others (with a proven track record of documented coaching and development as well as performance improvement plans that have resulted in tangible improvements)
Our menswear retail environment includes working within various departments such as sportswear, footwear, accessories, outerwear, tailored clothing and made-to-measure. Experience in the retail industry is preferred.
Strong business acumen in luxury retail and a keen understanding of how to execute business plans and company initiatives, individually and through one’s team

Style Advisor (Sales Associate) Job Description:
Personal Sales and Holistic Selling in-store, building relationships with your customers and creating repeat clientele
Demonstrating an interest in fashion, menswear, and luxury

Educating clients on the features and benefits of our Sartoria Loyalty program
Participating in Merchandising activities and store maintenance.
Utilizing the resources provided to conduct new business driving measures and following up with your existing clientele on all aspects of their current needs (i.e., alterations, fittings, dedicated appointments, etc.)
Preparing for each appointment and client meeting by strategizing what merchandise to present and creating the opportunity for add-on sales.
Successful candidates will require:
A minimum of 2 years of retail sales experience preferably in a luxury environment
Our menswear retail environment includes working within various departments such as sportswear, footwear, accessories, outerwear, tailored clothing and made-to-measure. Experience in these areas of the retail industry is preferred.
A passion for inspiring repeat business by creating exceptional customer service experiences both on-line and in-store.
The desire to participate in the many training initiatives we offer and the ability to incorporate the skills acquired through those programs into your daily activities
Demonstrated interest in technology and how to use tech innovations to support the retail Customer Service function.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
**Compensation will be comprised of variable commission, variable team bonus and a fixed base salary - the starting average annual income is $50,000 - $70,000. In this role, you can write your own paycheck due to our generous commission and bonus structure!
Head Tailor Job Description:
Here’s what we are looking for: Head Tailor
At least 2 years of experience in leading a team of tailors/alterationists with a focus on ensuring deadlines are met and quality and productivity remain high so as to meet and exceed business goals.
Knowledge and expertise in altering and tailoring luxury menswear garments including jackets, pants, and shirts
Ability to use and maintain a variety of industrial sewing machines and pressers with 2-3 or more years of experience
Your focus on providing exceptional support and service, leading to customer satisfaction and loyalty
A goal achiever; working individually and as part of a team to achieve store success.
**Compensation for this role will be based on skills, experience and leadership qualities, however the starting compensation for this role is: $35/hr, plus bonuses and incentives.
