SafeRoads Alberta simplifies the process for Albertans challenging Immediate Roadside Sanctions (IRS) under the Traffic Safety Act, promoting fairness and efficiency in public safety. By addressing impaired driving outside the criminal courts, SafeRoads focuses on fast-tracking justice, reducing strain on resources, and improving road safety.

Role Responsibilities
Seeking a pivotal role in the legal process? Step into the spotlight as a Case Administrator, where your organizational mastery keeps justice running smoothly.

In this position you will need to critically assess situations and determine when to seek the Case Coordinators direction when a situation occurs that falls outside of a standing operating procedure. You will be the first point of contact in issue identification, and will need to take a systematic approach to understand implications. If an error in judgment occurs and the situation is not addressed, it can breach court orders, procedural fairness principles, and legislation.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Client File Management & Data Accuracy: Maintain and update client records in the Motor Vehicle System (MOVES) with high accuracy to support law enforcement, registry agents, and government agencies. Ensure compliance with POPA regulations and procedural fairness.
Guidance & Support to Branch Members: Assist in interpreting driver records and case files, ensuring accurate processing of time-sensitive and legislated documents. Provide IT and process guidance to clients regarding applications, document uploads, and payments.
Scheduling & Correspondence for Reviews: Coordinate Immediate Roadside Sanctions (IRS) reviews, respond to high-volume public inquiries, and provide detailed explanations of the program. Prepare review-related correspondence and legal documents for adjudicators.
Records Management & Disclosure Handling: Secure and process disclosure documents for IRS reviews, liaise with law enforcement agencies, and ensure clients receive the required information. Track and analyze witness statements for quality assurance.
Vehicle Seizure Program Support: Process applications for vehicle seizure or immobilization release, compile case details for adjudicators, and ensure accurate closure of case files.
Judicial & Administrative Review Support: Prepare court packages for judicial reviews, provide certified records to legal teams, and assist in resolving complex or outlier cases. Process application fee refunds under special circumstances.
General Administrative Support: Contribute to Safe Roads Alberta's operational goals by performing additional duties as required.
