Position Overview:
As a Cashier at J-Mart, you will be the friendly face that greets our customers, processes transactions efficiently, maintains the store in an aesthetic manner, and ensures that each visitor leaves with a smile. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for delivering top-notch service in a welcoming retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor
Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
Process payments using our point-of-sale system
Handle cash and card transactions with precision and honesty
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized store area
Provide assistance to customers with inquiries or special requests
Stock shelves, arrange merchandise in an aesthetic manner
Prepare small food items like Onigiri, handrolls etc
Qualifications:
Previous cashier or retail experience preferred, but not required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to speak Japanese, Korean, Mandarin/Cantonese is an asset
Ability to work effectively and on-task under minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
