The Opportunity
We are currently seeking casual CSSD Technicians.
Working in our CSSD Department, reporting to our CSSD Supervisor, the CSSD Technician is responsible for providing optimum patient care through effective sterilisation, preparation and maintenance of instruments and equipment for Theatre.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
Have previous experience in a healthcare/theatre or sterile services setting would be advantageous, but is not essential;
Have a high level of concentration and attention to detail, with small, detailed work involving the use of microscopes forming part of this role;
Hold a current NZSSA qualification, or have willingness and commitment to undertake study in this field, on-the-job;
Be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Have enthusiasm and a proactive, flexible attitude;
Understand that the key to success lies in our team operating in collaboration with one another and you will have the ability and disposition to enhance cooperation and teamwork; and
Be known for your clear and professional communication skills and your ability to remain calm and collected in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
