Responsibilities:
We're looking for a CPA leader to build our internal tax team from scratch (so far we've outsourced most tax work). This is an extremely high impact role that can change the direction of our company, and so we're looking for someone who has very high self-motivation, energy and enthusiasm. Although this role is titled as manager, there is no team currently and the candidate will be expected to hire 2-3 subordinates to build out the tax team over the course of 3-6 months.
• Lead, build and the internal tax team from scratch
• Handle hundreds of US tech company tax filings
• Input deeply into the software product development in order to achieve scale
• Liaise with external CPA firms to organise and QC their work
• Establish tax and accounting policies and procedures
• Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Skills and Requirements:
• 5-10 years work experience as a Certified Public Accountant at a Big4 or independent US tax firm.
• Thorough knowledge of US tax, accounting and financial procedures.
• Deep experience with tax and accounting softwares.
• Bachelor’s degree specialisation in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification.
• existing PTIN number would be appropriate.
