Responsibilities:
1. GST Compliance: Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations and filing requirements. Review and validate GST returns, invoices, and other related documents for accuracy and adherence to statutory provisions. Stay updated with changes in GST laws, rules, and regulations and provide guidance to internal stakeholders. Conduct GST audits and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
2. TDS Compliance: Manage Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns. Ensure timely and accurate calculation and remittance of TDS amounts. Monitor TDS certificates and maintain proper records as per regulatory requirements. Address any TDS-related queries from internal teams and external vendors.
3. Tax Planning and Advisory: Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities. Analyze tax implications for various business transactions, such as acquisitions, expansions, and investments. Conduct tax research and keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential benefits. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to support the organization's financial goals.
4. Tax Audit and Assessment: Coordinate and facilitate tax audits, assessments, and appeals with tax authorities. Prepare and submit required documents and responses to tax notices and inquiries. Represent the organization during tax assessments and resolve any disputes or discrepancies.
5. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements with a focus on tax implications. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of tax-related transactions. Provide tax-related inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making. Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is required. Proven experience (5 years) working as a Chartered Accountant with specialization in GST, TDS, and taxation. In-depth knowledge of GST laws, rules, and compliance requirements. Strong understanding of TDS provisions and procedures. Sound knowledge of direct and indirect taxation laws, regulations, and best practices. Proficient in tax planning and advisory services. Experience in handling tax audits and assessments. Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. High level of integrity and confidentialit
