Chartered Accountant (CA) Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• GST Compliance: ledgers and-state GST accounting, including filing returns, reconciling GST ledgers, and ensuring compliance with GST laws.
• E-commerce Accounting: Handle accounting for e-commerce transactions, including revenue recognition, payment gateway reconciliations, and inventory management.
• Audit and Assurance: Conduct internal audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Advise on tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including direct and indirect taxes.
• Cost Management: Analyse and control costs to improve profitability. Implement cost-saving measures and monitor their effectiveness.
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions. Prepare reports and presentations for management.
• ERP System Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with hands-on experience in the e-commerce industry and multi-state GST accounting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and ERP systems. Strong knowledge of GST laws and regulations.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong organizational and time management skills.
