Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management and stakeholders.
2. Audit and Assurance:
- Conduct audits of financial statements, internal controls, and business processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and provide recommendations for process improvements.
3. Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Advise on tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities.
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other entities.
- Stay updated with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Financial Management and Advisory:
- Provide expert financial advice and guidance to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
5. Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and ensure adherence.
6. Internal Controls and Risk Management:
- Evaluate and establish internal control procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify areas of risk and recommend appropriate risk management strategies.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls.
7. Financial Systems and Technology:
- Assess and recommend improvements to financial systems, accounting software, and technology infrastructure to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Participate in the implementation and integration of financial systems and tools.
8. Professional Development and Leadership:
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to maintain professional competence.
- Mentor and train junior finance team members, providing guidance and support.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA Semi Qualified) from a recognized accounting body or institute.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax laws.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, auditing, and strategic financial management.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
