JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
PAY CLASS: Full-Time
Job Summary
Provides accounting functions to include but not limited to non-gaming audit, inventory control, daily P&L cash flows, check deposits, AR, AP, inter-companies and fixed assets. Candidate should have 3-5 years of experience (gaming or entertainment accounting experience preferred) in fast paced environment. Ability to prepare journal entries, daily banking, account reconciliations and review of financial statements. Excel skills and GAAP are a must.
Essential Job Functions
Completing monthly close process, heavy GL reconciliations, preparing journal entries, month-end accruals and reviewing accounts payable invoices.
Assist accounting managers with special projects.
Fixed asset experience preferred, including tracking CIP and related project costs to budget, running depreciation reports, fixed asset additions and reconciling system reports to the general ledger.
We are looking for a self-starter that wants to learn and grow within the accounting department.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or related field.
3+ years of experiencing in accounting.
Software experience includes NetSuite, Opera, and intermediate Excel skills.
Physical, Mental And Work Environment
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
Tasks performed from a sitting position
