The ACT Integrity Commission is an anti-corruption agency seeking an experienced Chief Legal Officer to provide advisory, advocacy and leadership in preventing, investigating and exposing corrupt conduct.
Job Description:
This is a hands-on and varied role collaborating with teams across the organisation to provide in-house legal services for the Commission's operational functions, including its assessment and investigation functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice to the Commissioner, CEO and staff on all aspects of its operations
Lead the Commission's legal team
Draft reports detailing findings and outcomes of investigations
Represent the Commission in court proceedings or brief external counsel as required
Benefits:
The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $2++,00+ – $310,+75 depending on current superannuation arrangements. This includes a cash component of $265,+27.
Contract Information:
The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
