Job Description
• Commercial claims handling – Property, Marine & (Other)
• Proactively identify gaps and work toward a resolution
• Document scrutiny & decision making
• Ensure consistent data entry in the system for claims handled by self & team
• Prepare monthly analytical reports
• Ensure Statutory & Regulatory compliance for self & team
• Prompt notification of the claim to the underwriters on receipt of intimation from the Client
• To coordinate with the hull underwriters/P&I Club or their correspondents for the immediate appointment of the surveyors
• To coordinate with the client for the collection of documents/information requested by the surveyors/average adjusters (if appointed by the client)/underwriters/P&I Club or their correspondents
• To follow up with the surveyors/average adjusters for prompt completion of the Final Survey Report/ Statement of Claim
• To follow up with the hull underwriters/P&I Club for prompt settlement of the claim and to arrange to solve the queries raised therein by the underwriters/ P&I Club
• To maintain the claims record in the MIS system of the organization
