Position summary
As a Nurse you play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. You will ensure that patients receive appropriate treatments while providing education and support to them and their families. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to safety, privacy, and regulatory protocols.

Essential job functions
Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic to promote timely service.
Accurately obtain and record vital signs, measurements, and laboratory tests according to protocol.
Gather patient chief complaints and visit reasons using attentive listening and clear communication.
Administer treatments and medications safely and competently.
Triage unscheduled patients, phone calls, and other concerns using established protocols, sound judgment, and a caring approach.
Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in the medical record.
Refer patients to other providers or services as requested by clinicians, completing necessary forms and tracking follow-ups.
Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms to support clinic efficiency.
Collaborate professionally with referral sources and ensure courteous communication.
Adhere to all applicable regulations and guidelines, including HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH, and OSHA.
Participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops, including overnight or air travel when required.
Assist with additional patient care, clinic maintenance, or process improvement tasks as assigned.
Required qualifications
Graduate of a school of nursing required
Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Arkansas required
Spanish/English bilingual ability preferred
Experience working in a clinic, especially a community health center preferred
Essential competencies
Able to perform proficiently on current practice management software (eClinicalWorks)
Proficient spelling in English
Ability to make accurate clinical assessments based on patient evaluation
Ability to work and function independently and within a team
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds
Experience working with Microsoft office software
Willingness and ability to engage in professional development
