An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Coordinate and manage ICU operations daily
Provide expert clinical care and leadership
Support and mentor ICU nursing staff
Deliver patient-centred care across varied specialties
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The Gold Coast University Hospital Intensive Care Unit and the Robina Hospital Intensive Care Unit are both part of the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service and operate as an integrated Intensive Care Unit platform.
The Gold Coast University Hospital Adult Intensive Care Unit is a 25-bed Intensive Care Unit Equivalent Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit averaging +0% occupancy and admitting over 2200 patients per year, managing varied case mix of patients and conditions. These include major trauma, neurosurgery, neuro intervention and neuro trauma, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, major head, and neck, maxillo-facial and ear, nose, throat surgery, and other medical and surgical emergencies and elective admissions.
The Robina Hospital Intensive Care Unit offers a 10 bed (5 ventilator equivalent) service that currently offers specialised care for general medical, general surgical, respiratory, and renal patients. This unit is a designated Level 2 Intensive Care Unit under Australia and New Zealand Intensive Care Society definition and Level 5 Intensive Care Unit under College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand definitions.
