Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Specialist to lead the migration of applications, databases, and services from AWS (Amazon Web Services) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities
• Design and implement the migration strategy for applications, data, and services from AWS to Oracle Cloud.
• Conduct a detailed assessment of the current AWS infrastructure, including workloads, security, performance, and cost considerations.
• Lead the planning and execution of migration tasks, including refactoring, re-platforming, or re-hosting as necessary.
• Set up Oracle Cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process by applying best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and DevOps teams to minimize downtime and troubleshoot issues during migration.
• Provide recommendations for optimizing performance and cost-efficiency post-migration.
• Automate migration workflows using scripts, tools, and services to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Create detailed documentation and provide training on Oracle Cloud systems and best practices for post-migration management.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and organizational policies.

Required Skills
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and migration projects.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and Oracle Cloud services (OCI Compute, OCI Object Storage, Oracle Autonomous Database, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of cloud migration frameworks and tools (AWS Migration Hub, Oracle Cloud Lift Services, etc.).
• Experience with database migration tools such as AWS DMS, Oracle Data Pump, or GoldenGate.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and IAM configurations in both AWS and Oracle Cloud.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
• Oracle Cloud certification (Oracle Cloud Architect or similar).
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with hybrid cloud setups
