Mo te tūranga | About the Role

This role is all about leading our Cloud Office team to ensure the safe adoption of cloud governance of cloud technology at ASB. You'll be responsible for providing technical, risk, governance and control consultancy services, as well as setting the strategy and prioritising work for the team. Your work will make a real difference for ASB and Aotearoa, helping to accelerate progress and improve risk management while embedding strong governance practices.

You'll be working on some really cool projects, from developing and applying cloud adoption strategies to building and maintaining a Centre of Excellence for Cloud Adoption. Your work will contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive cyber security and governance culture and mindset across all stakeholders, and you'll be keeping abreast of industry best practices to ensure ASB stays ahead of the curve.

As a seasoned cloud expert with a passion for risk management and security, here's what you bring to the team:

Experience in the formation and delivery of a new function with broad stakeholder exposure - you're a pro at setting up and running a team, and you know how to work with all sorts of people.
Broad technical, risk, and governance capabilities, expertise, and experience across cloud technologies - you're a cloud guru with a deep understanding of the tech and the risks. You'll also bring experience driving a strong cyber security and governance culture, keeping up with industry standards, and maintaining key relationships (including with CBA) to ensure ASB is well positioned for the future.
Ability to utilise knowledge to support team members and stakeholders with high-quality guidance and improved decision making - you're a great communicator who can explain complex stuff in simple terms.
Strategic thinking with the 'big picture' and future state in mind - you're always thinking about what's next and how to get there.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex cloud technology considerations into terms of business outcomes - you can talk tech with the best of them, but you can also explain it to non-techies.
Capability to converse with technical and delivery teams in their own language - you're fluent in tech speak, but you can also speak human.
