Job Description
We're looking for a confident communicator to support a wide range of council projects, tasks and programmes. Excellent writing skills are a must for this person, as is a talent for building great relationships with people from all over the council.
Our new advisor will primarily focus on internal communication activities and channels but may also dip into external comms from time to time. A natural storyteller, they will create and share information that engages, informs, and inspires our people, through:
campaign development and delivery
intranet updates and management
content creation for a variety of channels, including video.
Ngā Pukenga | What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
a tertiary qualification in communication or related field
proven ability to write and produce communications for a diverse audience and a variety of channels
organisational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects and tasks from conception to completion
an understanding of how great communication can build organisational culture
skills, or an interest in acquiring them, in video content production and social media
proven experience in relevant software applications.
This is a full-time role, however there may be some flexibility for the right candidate. We're also happy to receive applications from people with a variety of experience levels.
