We are currently seeking a skilled Compliance and Risk Officer to join our dynamic team on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Gaming Compliance Manager, the Compliance and Risk Officer will support the business to ensure that our operations are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal policies.
About the Role
The key responsibilities in this exciting and challenging role include but are not limited to:
Proactively investigating and reporting on identified risks related to gaming operations.
Monitor day-to-day gaming activities for compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Prepare and publish relevant reports on operations and complete audit self-checklists
Assist in conducting internal audits and preparing reports regarding compliance with gaming regulations and internal policies.
Assist in ensuring Canterbury relevant policies and procedures related to gaming activities meet standards for compliance.
Support the Gaming Compliance Manager to drive continuous improvement and awareness of internal and external reporting and record keeping systems and processes across the gaming department and other departments as required
You may interact with internal departments and external customers to ensure that compliance and risk management practices are understood and adhered to.
Required for the role:
Current RSA and RCG Certifications and Competency Card
Familiarity with gaming industry regulations including the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006
Strong communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with gaming-related reporting software.
Desirable:
Experience in gaming compliance reporting or a background in financial crime investigations/ analysis
A relevant qualification in compliance, law, finance or related field
Working knowledge of AML/CTF Act, gaming industry regulations and best practice
