A prominent law firm is seeking a dedicated Conflicts Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is integral to ensuring the firm's compliance with ethical standards and managing potential conflicts of interest. The Legal Conflicts Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive conflict checks, analyzing and resolving potential conflicts of interest, and maintaining detailed records. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and experience in a law firm or legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough and timely conflict of interest searches using the firm's database and other resources.
• Analyze conflict search results and identify potential conflicts of interest.
• Communicate with attorneys and other staff to gather additional information and clarify potential conflicts.
• Prepare detailed conflict reports and summaries for review by senior management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all conflict checks and resolutions.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve the conflict checking process.
• Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a conflicts specialist or similar role within a law firm or legal environment.
• Strong understanding of conflict of interest principles and legal ethics.
• Proficiency in conflict checking software and other legal research tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

$30-$40/hr. depending on relevant experience
