About The Job
Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You'll lead an accounting process. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.
Responsibilities
• Manage close activities and present month-end results to management.
• Advise on financial reports required by government regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.
• Identify opportunities to centralize, eliminate, or automate activities.
• Review processes and implement controls to ensure we are mitigating risk for Alphabet/Google.
• Manage, establish, implement global processes for the accounting of initiatives (ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and operational excellence), and prepare for, and assist with internal, SOX, and external audits.
