Job Description
At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
What role will you play?
In this role, you will work to understand, define and design improvements to capabilities and structures that underpin delivery of the Risk Management Group services, while providing insights into the effectiveness, maturity, and optimisation opportunities that align to strategy. You will work as part of a small team responsible for design of initiatives that align with our strategic priorities, operating model principles, and capability needs, contributing to delivery of business architecture artefacts that enable clarity, alignment and “join the dots” to drive informed decision making by senior leaders and management teams. With your commercial experience, you will be building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and engagement styles to achieve outcomes.
In addition, you will partner with teams across business, data and technology to develop opportunities to enhance our operating model and capabilities. You will support and deliver enabling artefacts to analyse the link between strategic objectives, business problems/opportunities, capability gaps, and investment need; to support effective communication of current and target states to management and sponsors to drive decision making. You will contribute to governance processes to ensure designs reflect agreed requirements and architectural standards; and, where appropriate, supporting handover to project delivery teams while maintaining oversight of design integrity throughout implementation.
What you offer
3+ years’ experience in internal strategy, operations, business architecture, external consulting, or in-house strategic business analysis. Big Four or similar consulting experience highly regarded
Skilled in developing and applying business architecture, or related artefacts (including operating models, delivery models, business design blueprints)
Strong ability to analyse and synthesise complex, disconnected business issues and identify dependencies and design impacts – supporting the presentation of these in succinct options papers for leadership
Confident, autonomous stakeholder engagement with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Ability to define (with minimal oversight) initial workplans for validation with team leads (size of tasks, plan for engaging and proposed sequence tasks with dependencies)
Experience in developing, managing and maintaining operating model metrics/reporting and information
Highly collaborative, commercially minded, and passionate about structured problem solving, supported by relevant degree qualifications.
We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
