About the role

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation. This role aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance through the application of lean methodologies and other improvement frameworks. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator works closely with various departments to ensure that improvement projects align with the organisation's strategic goals and customer needs.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll help drive the development and execution of a Continuous Improvement (CI) framework, working closely with senior CI staff to align customer journeys and value chains with company goals. You’ll support the planning, execution, and monitoring of CI initiatives to ensure measurable results. Your work will include facilitating lean methodologies and delivering training programs to enhance the team’s CI skills and capabilities.

You’ll focus on data analysis to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, empowering people to make improvements in their workflows. You’ll create clear reports and dashboards to track KPIs, ensure quality compliance, and help realise broader benefits across the organisation.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure CI initiatives align with company goals and customer needs. Strong stakeholder management will be key as you build relationships, manage risks, and communicate progress through tailored training and engaging storytelling. You’ll also support the development of SOPs, implement corrective actions, and champion innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong background in delivering continuous improvement initiatives. You should have a solid understanding of lean principles, and CI tools, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. You will bring strategic thinking to align activities with organisational goals and have experience in financial controls, benefit tracking, and budget management. Additionally, you'll work with stakeholders to ensure KPIs are captured and reported, and have proficiency in using technology like Microsoft Project and Excel for monitoring progress. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and organisational abilities, are key to success in this role.

Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role

Any experience of working with - or for - an Award Organisation (or End Point Assessment organisation) would be desirable, as would holding - or a willingness to work towards - a qualification relating to continuous improvement principles at a professional level. We would welcome applicants who have experience using Power BI, however, training can be provided.
