Job Description
This is a contract position expected to last about 6 months.
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support their team on an interim basis. This role involves performing financial analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ PO Accrual Liability Reconciliation:
Review and reconcile a 6,700-line file
Match/cancel remaining receipt rounding balances
Prepare necessary write-off entries
✔ Month-End Close Support:
Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and expense analysis
Act as P-Card administrator during this period
✔ General Accounting Duties:
Analyze accounts, transactions, and financial documents
Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and contract requirements
Prepare requisitions and review financial transactions
Monitor account and project balances for cash flow management
Qualifications:
???? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
???? At least two years of professional accounting experience
???? Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis
???? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred)
???? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
???? Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and interact effectively at all levels
