Contract Length: 52 Weeks

Raise is currently hiring a Contract Senior Mineral Land Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.


Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.


Description

The Senior Mineral Land Analyst serves as a key resource in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of land records within the organization’s land database. In this role, you will be reporting to the appropriate leadership team and are responsible for reviewing and aligning land records to internal data standards, procedures, and consistency guidelines. This position works closely with the Mineral Lease and Contracts team, Land Negotiators, Well Asset Management, and A&D to ensure consistent application of mineral land processes across all systems.


This role is instrumental in managing land expiries, supporting regulatory compliance for Saskatchewan Crown and Freehold leases, and handling complex land administration activities. The analyst also contributes to process improvements, resolves inquiries, prepares land documentation (including caveats and transfers), and generates detailed land data and mapping insights to support business decisions.


Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Lead and manage the land expiry process, including continuations and coordination of government and freehold notifications with Geologists, Negotiators, and partners
Apply working knowledge of Saskatchewan Crown regulations and Freehold leases to ensure compliance and consistency
Support the development and improvement of land processes and procedures
Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Analyze and resolve complex land-related issues across multiple scenarios
Generate detailed land maps and extract data from various systems to support decision-making
Collaborate with Negotiators on Crown postings and land sale processes
Prepare and submit land title documentation, including caveats, withdrawals, discharges, and transfers, while advising partners and stakeholders
Work independently on standard issues, seeking guidance on more complex or unique situations
Utilize core systems such as CS Explorer, Execute, GeoScout, StackDX, SAP, ISC, and IRIS to maintain accurate and consistent land records
Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in oil and gas land administration
Active membership with LEMAC is considered an asset
Strong working knowledge of Saskatchewan Crown regulations and Freehold leases
Proficiency in land systems including CS Explorer, Execute, GeoScout, StackDX, SAP, ISC, and IRIS
Demonstrated ability to manage land records with a high level of accuracy and data integrity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex land-related issues
High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Education

Graduate of a recognized land program preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
