My client, a leading provider of defence programmes is actively recruiting for Control Systems Engineers to provide SCADA engineering excellence, contributing to software design and development for maritime control and instrumentation system
Responsibilities required for the position of Control Systems Software Engineers (SCADA)/ SCADA Software Engineers
• Capture, interpret, and develop customer requirements.
• Produce detailed technical design documentation in line with company and customer procedures.
• Specify, design, and test solutions for SCADA systems and operating systems using RedHat Linux.
• Manage data communications with third-party equipment.
• Develop SCADA software from various design formats, including Block Diagrams, Flow Charts, and Pseudo Code.
Experience required for the position of Control Systems Software Engineers (SCADA) / SCADA Software Engineers
• Development experience with Siemens (ETM) WinCC Open Architecture (OA).
• Specification and analysis of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment.
• Proficient in High-Level Programming Languages within SCADA IDE environments such as VB, C#/C++.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL database administration and interfacing.
• Understanding of Functional Safety (BS EN 61508, 61511, or 62061).
• Knowledge of software testing and verification processes.
• Hands-on experience with RedHat Linux operating systems.
