Liberty Personnel is working with a growing consumer products client in search of a Corporate Controller to lead their accounting staff and report to the CFO.
Summary:
Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to work in a fast-paced environment. The Controller oversees the day-to-day accounting functions of the company and is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of the financial statements of the company. Duties include strategically managing cash flows, creating, and measuring against budgets in accordance with company goals, ensuring tax and corporate compliance, coordinating with external financial and tax accountants, and monitoring internal controls.
Qualifications
• BS in Finance or Accounting
• 10+ years related experience
• Experience in corporate and public accounting
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Expert knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• Compliance and detail oriented
• Proficiency with ERP software
• CPA is required
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing accounting staff
• Responsible for preparation and of financial statements and executive reports
• Responsible for the company general ledger, monthly close process and financial reporting
• Manage all general accounting functions, billing, payable, receivable, collections and treasury
• Manage cash flow and daily treasury to define company’s present and future financial status
• Ensure financial controls within the accounting department
• Responsible for working closely with outside auditors
• Manage key financial performance indicators
• Provide reports and analysis that help senior leadership understand company financials
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to team members
