Compensation: $144,000–$155,000 base + Bonus + 100% Employer-Funded Benefits

Our client, a leading provider of infrastructure and heavy civil construction solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee financial operations across a diverse and growing portfolio of joint venture projects.
With over 20 active joint ventures and peak annual revenues of up to $300 million, this role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with executive leadership, the Controller will drive financial strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on project-based financials.
What You’ll Do
Lead all financial operations and reporting for a portfolio of 20+ joint ventures
Manage and develop a small, high-performing team (2 direct reports: Accounting Manager and FP&A lead)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and statements
Maintain accurate forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis across multiple entities
Support project managers and leadership teams with real-time financial data and insights
Coordinate with joint venture partners to manage shared financial obligations and reporting
Manage compliance with internal controls, audit preparation, and financial risk mitigation
Operate within JD Edwards (JDE) ERP environment
What You Bring
CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) required
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally in construction, mining, engineering, or infrastructure sectors
Direct experience managing joint ventures, project-based accounting, or multi-entity structures
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build trust and lead teams in complex environments
Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
High comfort level handling financial reporting for operations between $25M–$300M annually
Compensation & Perks
Base Salary: $144,000–$155,000
