JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee our company's accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support accurate financial reporting. This role will manage the day-to-day accounting functions, supervise the accounting team, and coordinate month-end and year-end close processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Stay up to date with new accounting standards and regulatory changes, and recommend necessary updates to policies and procedures.
Month-End & Year-End Close:
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and variances are analyzed and explained.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and executive teams to support strategic decision-making with financial insights.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals.
Audit & Tax:
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, supporting audits and tax filings.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and addressing audit inquiries.
Systems & Process Improvement:
Implement best practices, streamline accounting processes, and assist with potential system implementations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
CPA certification strongly preferred
3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, including 1 year minimum in a supervisory or managerial role required
1-2 years of public accounting as well as 1-2 years of industry experience ideal
Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting practices beneficial
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Exposure to M&A integration or system implementations preferred
