Objectives of this role
• Expertise in commercial law, corporate and business law
• Provide legal advice that complies with regulatory laws, keeping in mind the ethos of the company
• Ensure that the company avoids all kinds of legal risks and violations with the right corporate law services
• Evaluate ongoing and potential projects for the company and ensure that it adheres to corporate law stipulations
• Continually learn the dynamic changing laws and regulations of the corporate law on a national and international scale
Responsibilities
• Provide sound legal counsel whenever needed
• Curate and review legal paperwork and documentation that protect and support the companys interests while adhering to corporate compliance laws
• Oversee junior corporate lawyers, paralegals, and other support staff in legal matters
• Improvise and oversee the company policies on legal affairs periodically as the company attorney
• Guide the management team and stakeholders on the legal directions to take
• Undertake and perform in-depth legal research for partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and other transactions
Ensure compliance of rules and regulations as prescribed in Contract labour Act. 2. Issue form V to contractor for deployment of contract labours. 3. Ensuring 100% compliance of acts (Monthly, Half-yearly and Yearly returns) as per applicable laws and group guidelines. 4. Ensure such compliances, as applicable, are also being done by Contractor 5. 6. payment disputes if any thus make arrangement of meeting to meet statutory requirement. 7. Verified contractor bills and sent to account department as service metrics 8. To ensure proper calculation of Bonus & Leave, based on criteria, and disbursal of the same within the timeline. +. To ensure proper deduction and deposition of PF & ESI amount by contractors and deposition in Govt Treasury. 10. Closely follow the changes in regulations done by authorities & adjust compliance accordingly.
Required Skills And Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in law, whether it is LLB or BA.LLB from a recognized university
• Registered with the Bar Council of India
• Proficiency and fluency in English
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Comprehensive understanding of corporate law
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
• LLB,LLM or specialisation in company law, or corporate law
• Prior experience working as a corporate lawyer
• Degree from a national law school
