In this role, you will provide expert legal guidance on corporate matters, draft and review legal documents, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
• * Provide legal advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.
• * Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the companys interests.
• * Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations applicable to the business.
• * Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
• * Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations with external parties, including regulatory authorities.
• * Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, HR, and operations, to provide legal support for their initiatives.
• * Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) is required; a Masters degree (LLM) or equivalent qualification in corporate law is highly desirable.
• * Active membership in the bar association or a valid license to practice law.
• * Proven experience (5+ years) as a Corporate Lawyer, Legal Counsel, or in a similar role.
• * Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts.
• * Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• * Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• * Proficient in legal research tools and software.
• Experience
• * Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a fast-paced business environment or a legal firm.
• * Demonstrated expertise in handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
• * Experience in managing cross-border legal issues is an advantage.
