Job Description
EaseMyTrip.com, a leading online travel company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Legal Counsel to join our legal team. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support across various aspects of the business, with a focus on contract management, legal advisory, compliance, and intellectual property rights.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, vet, and maintain templates for a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, business agreements, product license agreements, MOUs, letters of intent, NDAs, teaming agreements, reseller agreements, and master services agreements.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with attorneys to finalize legal documentation and contracts.
Legal Document Management: Oversee the organization, maintenance, and administration of all legal agreements and pertinent legal documents within the legal department.
Legal Advisory: Provide well-researched legal advice on various business laws to support company operations and decision-making.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure the company adheres to applicable laws and regulations, maintaining a robust compliance framework.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Collaborate with product teams to identify patentable ideas, conduct patent searches, manage infringement studies, and draft applications for trademarks.
Template Management: Develop and update standard legal document templates to streamline contract creation processes.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support contract negotiations and address corporate legal matters.
Training and Development: Mentor junior legal staff and train other departments on relevant legal issues and compliance requirements.
Strategic Legal Counselling: Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management regarding business strategies and their potential legal implications.
Qualification & Experience:
Educational Qualifications: Graduate or postgraduate degree in law. Additional qualifications in intellectual property rights or related laws are preferred.
Legal Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a legal counsel role, preferably within a global services organization.
Contract Law Expertise: Strong familiarity with US and international contract law, with experience in drafting and negotiating contracts.
