Job Description – Cost Accountant

Responsibilities:
• Plan budgets and prepare reports for multiple departments within a company.
• Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyze trends of highs and lows
• Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual.
• Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.
• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of services.
• Collect and organize cost information into a database of expenses.
• Determine and calculate formulas for fixed and variable costs, such as rent, insurance, and monthly purchases.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Requires 5 + years of relevant experience
• Exposure to standard cost is required.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions as required.
• Strong communication skills including an stakeholder management
