We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our Finance team.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will be to:
Maintain inventory valuation calculations and evaluate standard costing variances
Monitor overhead expenses related to inventory and production
Assist in the assessment of inventory impairment and inventory cut off
Participation/review of full-cycle accounting processes
Supporting system implementation projects (ERP and others)

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
CPA designation, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a senior accountant or cost accountant role.
Previous cost accounting experience in manufacturing or medical devices is considered an asset.
Knowledge of cost accounting principles, overhead and standard costing is considered an asset.
Knowledge of US GAAP is considered an asset.
Previous experience with US listed reporting issuers is considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced MS Excel skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skill and keen attention to detail
Great communication skills and enjoy working in a team setting
Willingness to learn new things and respond to feedback
A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions to challenges
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
$68,000-$100,000 (CAD Annually)
