Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Responsibilities
Develop and implement cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
Analyze and report on costs and margins by product and division
Prepare and analyze inventory valuation reports
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile results with financial records
Work closely with the production team to understand and allocate production costs
Participate in budgeting processes, including the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Analyze capital budgeting requests
Perform variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budgeted costs
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
Continually improve cost accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
