As Cost accountant you’ll play a key role in supporting the senior management team in driving business performance by providing analysis and insight into Majestics cost base as well as working with existing and new suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings.
As a new role this represents an opportunity to really add value through creating new insights and processes to help understand business performance and costs.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Support the Budgeting and reforecasting process in line with annual business cycle
• Develop a deep understanding of all costs and their drivers to help inform channel profitability and identify areas of opportunity to make cost savings.
• Support on cost modelling for business cases
• Introduce robust cost reporting process flagging overspends and future risks to costs.
• Introduce a procurement reporting framework on cost base
• Develop support centre head count reporting and sign off process working alongside the people team
• Represent finance within the retail team attending and contributing in relevant stakeholder meetings
• Provide adhoc analysis and insight to the CFO and Senior exec team
• Support FP&A team to support the monitoring of head office cost base and group reporting
