Creative Communities Officer - Arts and Culture

An exciting part time opportunity has become available in Beechworth for an experienced arts and culture officer in the Community and Economic Development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Creative Communities Coordinator to develop and implement arts and culture initiatives (including Creative Indigo 2027).
Work with the Creative Communities Coordinator to develop and implement reconciliation initiatives including Reconciliation Action Plans.
Provide advice on the needs of the community and work with internal project teams to guide the future planning of Council’s infrastructure and facilities so that they support a wide range of arts and cultural activities and experiences.
Lead stakeholder management projects including the facilitation of networks and initiatives with artists, groups and regional organisations to support local arts and cultural development initiatives.
Provide expert advice and ensure an integrated approach to the planning, commissioning and management of public art and other special projects.
Assist the Creative Communities Coordinator in developing and implementing community engagement strategies including First Nations engagement framework and engagement protocols.
