Credit Manager Digital Lending
This is a Risk Management role for a Mumbai based start-up fintech (Triumph Technology Services Pvt Ltd) offering consumer and business lending products in the market. The fintech has been promoted by senior bankers with deep experience in the financial services field in India and abroad.
The fintech offers differentiated options for low-cost/zero-cost loans to individuals and merchants and has launched in Mumbai and Pune and has plans to scale up across the top 20-30 cities in the country. The business model operates through Merchants - Retailers and Corporates selling products and services, who in turn provide low-cost loan options to their customers to pay for their purchases. The merchants include both online and offline.
The fintech operates on a cloud based digital lending platform which runs an AI/ML powered risk scoring engine. The entire loan journey is digital right from on-boarding and under-writing to disbursal with no paper or manual intervention. Merchants and customers interact with the platform through mobile or web. Extensive linkages have been built with best-in-class digital eco-system partners using a API based architecture with all key tasks getting performed in real time.
The role involves designing lending products and building risk management and customer scoring models which deliver optimum risk and return relying primarily on digital sources of information about the borrower. Working closely with the business teams, the incumbent will lead the risk policy formulation and implementation of loan products, in a fast-evolving digital landscape. The role would be responsible for achieving business growth targets with a balance between risk & returns.
IMMEDIATE JOINERS WILL BE PREFERRED
Key deliverables of the role would be:
(1) Designing risk policy and scoring frameworks for consumer and business loans that can work in a predominantly digital environment
(2) Build risk-based pricing models to ensure profitable growth of the business
(3) Develop and implement digital under-writing models to balance risk & returns
(4) Collaborate closely with business teams to develop products that ensure aggressive customer acquisition from the most preferred risk performance segments
(5) Work with industry partners to streamline processes and deliver industry best TATs
The right candidate will have 5-7 years’ experience in credit policy and under writing in retail lending and would have worked directly on building, managing, and scaling a loans business in a digital environment.
