Our client is looking to hire a crypto accountant to play a vital role within their team and maintain and update the purchase ledger alongside reconciling bank accounts and preparing supplier payments run on a weely basis.
Responsibilities
Maintaining and updating the purchase ledger
Reconciling bank accounts daily
Preparing supplier payment runs on a weekly basis
Balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of monthly management accounts ie. p/l and b/s & supporting schedules
Assist in preparing the Management Reporting Pack
Maintain Crypto ledger reconciliations in accordance with the approval matrix
Preparation of quarterly VAT/GST returns
Ensure current account balances match across all related entities
Support with ad hoc finance tasks
Work with auditor and tax consultants to fulfil audit, tax and VAT/GST compliance requirements
Requirements
Strong accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Excel/Google sheet skills
Ability to work within a team, build and maintain good working relationships
Must have a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ideally part qualification or fully qualified in accountancy such as AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
Crypto currency experience in business or personal
Experience working directly with senior company officials and directors
Proven ability to work independently
Self starter with initiative
Work with little or no supervision
Crypto knowledge requirements:
Understanding of blockchain addresses and transactions and how tokens are transferred.
Ability to use a blockchain explorer (eg. etherscan.io) to track and reconcile transactions and balances.
Ability to understand and operate crypto wallets (eg. Metamask, etc.)
Experience sending and receiving transactions (personal account ok)
Comfortable making small ad-hoc payments to settle crypto invoices from suppliers (training available)
Will be required to use crypto accounting software (eg. Cryptio)
Reconciling crypto transactions through to accounting software (eg. Xero)
Good security practices required (training given)
Understanding of how crypto markets function: Exchanges, OTCs, MarketMakers and DeFi/DEX is a plus
