Culinary Admin Assistant

The Culinary Admin Assistant is a core role in our team at Melbourne Park – supporting the day-to-day operations of the kitchen by assisting with administrative tasks, recipe and allergen system updates, and team communication. The role ensures culinary systems are kept up to date and compliance processes run smoothly. They play a vital part in maintaining the high standards of food safety and operational efficiency across events and daily service.

The Position

Administration & Communication

Providing day-to-day administrative support to the culinary team.
Managing reports, documentation, and updates across SharePoint and other internal systems.
Distributing company communications and updates to the kitchen teams.
Ordering and tracking office supplies and equipment as required.
Maintaining high standards of organisation and clarity in all records.
Recipe & Allergen System Support

Supporting and updating recipe management and allergen systems, including MenuGuide and Jaleh.
Compiling allergen summaries and documentation for daily menus and specific events.
Liaising with chefs and the wider team to ensure recipe data is accurate, consistent, and up to date.
Operational Support

Helping to coordinate internal communication across culinary and support departments.
Preparing and uploading dietary, nutritional, and allergen information for services and key events.
Assisting the Lead Culinary Coordinator and leadership team with compliance-related tasks and ad hoc projects.

The Person

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and thrives in a dynamic, team-focused environment. You’ll have:

Proven experience in administration (hospitality/events sector a bonus).
Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), SharePoint & OneDrive.
Outstanding attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to liaise across multiple teams.
The ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-moving environments.
A flexible approach to working hours – including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Desirable:

Familiarity with allergens, food safety regulations, or kitchen operations.
Experience with recipe systems or databases.
