Mō te tūranga | About the role

This role sits within the Payment Platform Leadership Team and leads the foundational components of our platform, enabling a true "Payments as a Service" model. You'll be technically minded and internally focused, driving platform efficiency and strategic outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

Build a deep understanding of internal customer needs and communicate the platform roadmap clearly to stakeholders.
Translate technical milestones into compelling, engaging stories that bring the roadmap to life.
Collaborate with internal customers to create and maintain well-groomed product backlogs.
Champion the platform's strategic vision across squads, guiding prioritisation and innovation throughout delivery.

You'll ideally bring:

Proven experience in technical product ownership within an agile delivery environment.
A strong technical background, ideally in software development.
Commercial acumen to lead prioritisation conversations with stakeholders.
Understanding of the strategic and operational importance of lending platforms in banking.
Familiarity with digital lending technologies and platforms.
Knowledge of availability, resilience, and cyber security principles.
Awareness of modern technology paradigms including APIs, cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
