We are currently looking for candidates with driving, machine operating or labouring experience to join our Southland State Highway Maintenance team in the Invercargill area.
We are looking for people with a hardworking, 'can-do' attitude, who are happy working in a team environment as well as without supervision.
What you'll be doing:
Carrying out routine road maintenance on Southlands State Highway network
Completing tasks such as pothole repairs, drainage clearing, and vegetation control
Inspecting road conditions and reporting hazards or defects
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Working closely with your team and communicating effectively with supervisors
What we're looking for:
A clean, valid driver's licence (Class 1 required; Class 2 an advantage)
Experience in road maintenance is preferred but not essential
A strong focus on health and safety
A positive, ‘can-do' attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
