About the role | Ko te tūranga mahi

This is a pivotal role in Public Trust's journey to becoming a truly data-driven organisation. As the Data and Analytics Lead, you'll guide the shift from fragmented data practices to a unified, governed, and AI-ready data ecosystem. You'll lead the delivery of trusted insights that inform strategic and operational decisions, while helping build a culture of data literacy and responsible data use across the organisation.

You'll be responsible for:

Co-ordinating business intelligence activities and managing data product delivery
Driving the shift to modern data platforms and practices
Supporting data governance and stewardship across the organisation
Promoting data literacy and responsible data use
Supporting the establishment of data management practices to support safe and effective AI enablement
About you | Ko wai koe

You're a collaborative leader who knows how to make the complex feel simple. You bring deep expertise in data analytics and governance, and you're passionate about helping others understand and use data responsibly. You're comfortable navigating change, influencing across the organisation, and translating business needs into meaningful data requirements.

You'll bring:

Experience in business intelligence and data analytics
Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and infrastructure
Proven ability to deliver results in complex, changing environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - you'll be playing an active role in ensuring data requirements are clear and we are delivering the right business value
Familiarity with data and business intelligence tools such as SSRS, SSIS and AI and cloud-native platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Azure, Microsoft Fabric)
Qualifications in data science or similar, are desirable
