Key Responsibilities of Data Room Facility Operations


Data Room Infrastructure Management Data Room Facilities Operations is responsible for managing the physical and operational aspects of data rooms in Toronto and Montreal, as well as main communication rooms and floor distribution rooms across Canadian locations. This includes overseeing the installation and tracking of hardware, deployments, and ensuring readiness for projects.
Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning The role plays a central part in disaster recovery tabletop exercises and planning for data rooms across Canada. Their involvement includes reviewing and contributing to disaster recovery plans and PMR reports, ensuring operational resilience.
Vendor and Certification Coordination Data Room Facility Operations liaises with external vendors like Rogers to obtain and manage certifications for facilities. They work with Infosec on data room certifications and Risk on GOC audits. Additionally, they coordinate with all vendors on the delivery and installation of hardware and on-site maintenance.
Project Support and Collaboration The role collaborates with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, such as the procurement of firewalls for the Toronto Data Room relocation. They support initiatives requiring coordination with finance, risk, and procurement teams,
Operational Troubleshooting and Escalation Data Room Facility Operations is often the point of contact for urgent operational issues, such as data storage conflicts or hardware provisioning. They ensure that tasks are delegated appropriately and that stakeholders are informed of progress and constraints.
